I think the descriptions are somewhat circular (no pun!) unfortunately.
Here is what we read under the heading of Current:
Current [(conditions)] command
....
The Current command implies the conditions
CirculateHit, CirculateHitIcon and CirculateHitShaded.
...
Thus we are told that the Current command implies the condition
CirculateHit. Neither here nor elsewhere is a description
of what that phrase means.
Paragraphs corresponding to Prev, Next, etc., refer to the
paragraph corresponding to Current. That is not of much help.

Thanks for the description and example. I think I understand it
a little better now. I will have to experiment a bit to see if
I have gotten the real hang of it.
