Hi Micha, : With the converted rpm for Tk::PNG version 2.003 it gives a message : that it can't find Tk::PNG with a self compiled version (2.005) it just : crashes, no messages.
I'm not sure I understand this, but to find out if its the PNG module causing problems you can simply remove "Tk::PNG" from the use line in the FvwmTabs source code. FvwmTabs will spit out lots of errors every time it tries to load a .png image, but it should still function. : On startup the following output is given, on crash no output: That all looks pretty sane, except the last line is probably truncated. What does FvwmTabs output on stdout/stderr? In my ~/.xsession file I do a: exec fvwm >& $HOME/.fvwm/.errorLog & then any FvwmTabs errors go to ~/.fvwm/.errorLog. Default would be ~/.xsession-errors? (or is that only stderr? not sure.) Anyway, I'm interested in a line like: FvwmTabs (v3.1) started with: Perl 5.8.0, X11::Protocol 0.53, Tk 804.025. & anything else FvwmTabs might say. Also, what version of FVWM are you using? If you're really keen to help out, try & catch me on #fvwm (IRC: freenode.net - my nick is "scottie7") & we can experiment with a few things. SCoTT. :) -- Visit the official FVWM web page at <URL: http://www.fvwm.org/>.
