stdout/stderr from each module goes to the same place as stdout/stderr of FVWM. I suggest adding a line like this to your ~/.xsession file: exec fvwm >& $HOME/.fvwm/.errorLog Then all FVWM & module output is captured in ~/.fvwm/.errorLog. I often run "tail -f" on this file.
