You can copy it into your locale directory, edit the po file, run ./make_mo, and the translation will be done. You can do this as your normal user in ~/.fvwm-crystal/locale/*/LC_MESSAGES/ To see the new translations, just restart Fvwm-Crystal. With the FontSelector, it is just to close and restart it. The most up-to-date translation is the French one, which should be complete.
