Sten,

It could help if you had posted your license string, so we could check
if you really have a valid license for the things you are trying ...

Subject: [FW-1] No valid license found in SmartCenter

Hi

Im trying to install Checkpoint FW-1 NG on a Sun 280R running Solaris 9.
Installation of the firewall works fine and when running FP3 it works
with the test license thats automatically included. However when I enter
the permanent license it gracefully accepts the license but when I try
to use any component of the SmartDashboard (eg. PolicyEditor) I get the
error message "No Valid license found in SmartCenter Server
'servername'". This happends after I get to validate the fingerprint so
it connects to the smartcenter server. It doesnt matter if I enter the
correct password however so it doesn't seem to get as far as to validate
the password.

I have tried using both Solaris 8 & 9, as well as FW-1 NG FP1-3
including the hotfix for FP3. All configurations give the same result. I
have also tried both central and local licence as well as tie it to host
ID and IP #. I have a valid MP license and it seems to work since it
stoped complaining about no valid MP license as soon as I entered it.
I also tried to install it on a completly different machine with the
same result.
The FW machine is also the primary (and only) management server.

Anyone recognise this and/or has any good solutions?

Regards
/Sten
