Hi I am unable to make log switch or log purge. The only way to start a new log file is to cpstop remove all contents of the $FWDIR/log directory and cpstart, all this on the mgt server. Anyway this proccess seems not to work for the active connections log, and so the files fw.vlog* need several cycles of this process (cptop, rm fw.vlog*,cpstart) to start showing entries. But after sometime as the management server increases and shrinks the fw.vlog file at every 10 minutes it stops updating it and it needs to be recycled !!. The log switch command gives the following error: fw logswitch Trying to switch logfile to 2003-03-26_152748.log SIC Error for logswitch: Authentication error Log switch failed The SIC communications status as far as I can check on the GUI is OK between the two modules and the management server. Any ideas ?
