Hello all,

This is somehow off-topic, but nevertheless I thought this might be of
interest to some people of the community...

Lately I went through a problem between my Nokia Boxes (running IPSO
3.6FCS6) and Cisco routers on OSPF level. The symptom was that every 2 hours
or so, the Nokia boxes would go through the OSPF adjacency building process
again (From FULL/2WAY state to INIT), without having a "dead timer expired"
message.

After lots of debugging, I found out that the Cisco boxes and the Nokia
boxes have different default timings for the SPF delay and hold time.

So, for those of you who use OSPF between Nokia boxes and Cisco routers, set
the following values on the OSPF configuration page :

RFC1583 Compatibility : off
SPF Delay : 5
SPF Hold time : 10

This should ensure trouble-free operation !!
