It doesn't work as a proxy. It works pretty much like a normal MTA. It
received the entire message, spools it, then passes it on to the next MTA.

You can have it add a "Received" line in the header by setting the following,

By messing with objects_5_0.C or DBEdit. I don't think there's a knob in the
Policy Editor to change this.

Since most people use asmtpd to check _incoming_ mail, I think it's crazy
that this setting has a default of "false." Who wants to obfuscate the source
of an email from themselves and their users?
