box a is not setup at the mail server to be allowed to relay while box b is. Is this going through the firewall? Outlook is connecting to what kind of server? pop3, exchange??? the boxes are on the outside of the firewall and the mail server is on the inside??? What is your mail setup??? does the firewall do smtp inspection????
