Your cron job is missing CHKP environment variables. When you login on with a cli into the management, your .profile adds some variables for CHKP. When you define these in your cronjob everything works fine. Use a script for cron like this: #!/bin/sh . /opt/CPshrd-53/tmp/.CPprofile.sh #or wherever it is in your installation /opt/CPfw1-53/bin/fw logswitch #with your additional parameters.
