Hi,

In voyager under:

Advanced System Tuning
Tuning TCP/IP Stack TCP Maximum Segment Size (MSS) 1024

TCP Maximum Segment Size (MSS): When a TCP connection is established, both
ends announce their maximum segment size (the largest chunk of data to
send). Use this setting to change the value that this system will advertise.
It is used to tune TCP performance for connections that are terminated or
proxied on this system.

1) Does anyone know why Nokia does not default to 1460 or 1500 for this
value for max performance?
2) Is there any impact to client -> host connections not terminated or
proxied on the firewall.
3) Is a nat translation a proxied connection or does this only refer to the
security servers?

Any help appreciated
Rob
