Is this true? My Checkpoint VAR is telling me that I have
to reinstate my MetaIP software & UAT/UAS for software support,
or I can no longer use it.

I have some MetaIP 4.x installed that I no longer use, but I haven't
took the time to un-install it from all my PDC/BDC's. I dropped
support for it last year at renewal time because It was no longer
supported and I was migrating away from MetaIP.

Also add to this equation that I have User Authority licenses
that I've not yet installed or used, and don't keep up on software
support. I have no current plans to use this license, but that
could change at any time - or not.

I'm told that my choice is to either remove the software from
all my servers, and loose these licenses or face a $5629US charge
to re-instate this software and get software support for it.

Is this really what Checkpoint is doing to us? Either Keep
Checkpoint products on software subscription or the license is
no longer valid?

This seems soooo wrong.
