Hi, I just 'played around' with a VPN-1 Edge X and ran into a problem configuring a VPN. The problem doesn't seem to refer to sk24444, because I get the same effect when having the date on December, 31st.
System: SmartCenter under Linux or NT Server, R55 Licenses: CPMP-EVAL-1-3DES-NG and VPN-1 Edge X16
I need a Satellite Community where my VPN-1 is in the center (normal VPN-1 Firewall with SmartCenter). The satellites are planned to be VPN-1 Edge X. The Edges should send all traffic through the center (also traffic to the Internet). So I defined a profile, the VPN-1 Edge itself and build a Satellite VPN Community.
When verifying the rule any any SatelliteVPN any accept Log Policy Targets ... I get the message "the gateway Low does not support communities in the "VPN" column"
So I tried to install on the profile (myEdgeProfile) only, same effect: "the gateway myEdgeProfile does not support communities in the "VPN" column"
Ok, trying the Traditional Mode gives "Encryption not supported on gateway ( myEdgeProfile )"
I really thought, that I can build a VPN with my SmartCenter and a VPN-1 Edge X... Any hints? Maybe I missed a main thing?
