We had been running FW-NG FP3 on Win2k/SP4 for about 5 months without issue.
We're using FW to protect several webservers. They are Nat and routed
through FW with 'non-existent' addresses expressed through local.arp.
Recently we upgraded to a DS3 and now we're seeing arp failures. The only
way to fix this is to restart the hardware; fwstop/start doesn't work. This
happens quite randomly anywhere 6-12 hours from the restart.
We applied Hotfix2 which I presume included hotfix 1 which is supposed to
fix the proxy arp issue. This has not helped either.
Has anyone else seen this issue? If so, what's the next fix?

Hi, on Win2k automatic NAT usually works fine. There is a known issue with manual NAT on this OS (see http://www.fw-1.de/aerasec/ng/manualNAT-MS.html). Maybe fwparp.exe also helps in your case. My 2 cents, hope it helps, best regards, Matthias http://www.fw-1.de -- AERAsec Network Services and Security GmbH Wagenberger Strasse 1 D-85662 Hohenbrunn, Germany http://www.aerasec.de
