Hello All,
We have implemented SMTP resource with Trend CVP for SMTP virus scanning.
Lately users are reporting that incoming emails (intermittently) do not get
delivered to them and that the emails are getting bounced back to the
sender. The sender resends the emails and it gets delivered.
Version of Checkpoint: This is Check Point VPN-1(TM) & FireWall-1(R) NG
Feature Pack 3 Build 331853945
Version of OS: SunOS xxxxxxxx 5.8 Generic_108528-23 sun4u sparc
SUNW,Ultra-80
Firewall logs shows the following when the email bounces back:

Date: 14Jan2004
Time: 12:26:37
Product: VPN-1 & FireWall-1
Interface: daemon
Origin: camelot
Type: Log
Action: Reject
Source: host-117-200.tidc.telus.com
Destination: camelot
Protocol: tcp
Rule: 14
Source Port: 3812
Information: agent: mail server
from: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
to: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
reason: Content Security - access denied.
The rule mentioned in the Reject is my very last rule that rejects all. The
SMTP resource rule is rule 9.
Does anyone have any suggestions? You help will be greatly appreciated.
