I purchased refurbished Matrox NS-100/4 4 port ethernet Cards from Matrox Canada 2 years ago for 140 US$ each.
They work like a charm. And the memory in the box is Kingston KTC6615/256 for 158 US$ each. BTW the Compaq Deskpro, that I took the memory out of also donated it's CPU, so the two 440s currently run on PIII 600 Mhz. Pictures of how I installed these CPU's can be found at http://herbaweb.herba-chemosan.at/itstuff/1769.jpg and http://herbaweb.herba-chemosan.at/itstuff/1772.jpg Be careful: the links below are around 4 MB each, but show the conversion in more details. http://herbaweb.herba-chemosan.at/itstuff/full1769.jpg and http://herbaweb.herba-chemosan.at/itstuff/full1772.jpg Be careful when swapping the CPU, only 600 without any additional letters work, a 600E failed to function. Descriptions of the motherboard and BIOS upgrades you might need for the CPU to run can be found at http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/se440bx2/ Hope that helps Albert ================================================= To set vacation, Out-Of-Office, or away messages, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] in the BODY of the email add: set fw-1-mailinglist nomail ================================================= To unsubscribe from this mailing list, please see the instructions at http://www.checkpoint.com/services/mailing.html ================================================= If you have any questions on how to change your subscription options, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] =================================================
