you can use the same hotfix on all operating systems and for NG AI R55, R54 and NG FP3 HF2.
for systems running NG FCS, NG FP1 and NG FP2 follow the release notes, you have to do some manual changes.
one more thing:
the file cpsc.en_us is *not* locatet in $FWDIR/conf but in $FWDIR/conf/cpsc - I think this is wrong in the release notes (at least a have checked that with R54 and R55).

well, you are right, you have to check the MD5-sum of all files to find out that it's the same or all OSes and versions, there is no info about that.
