When I tried to apply the SmartUpdate version to a Nokia IPSO platform, the
Pre-Upgrade verifier said it was verified and checked disk space, then
reported that the test had failed and it could not be installed. There is
plenty of disk space available. This happened on both the fw1 and cpshared
SmartUpdates.

So I then tried to install it manually, hoping it would give me more
information. The install_hfa pre-upgrade verifier reported that my user.def
file had been changed manually and the new version would overwrite it.
Neither I no anyone else has modified user.def and its contents are idential
to that of the Windows 2000 management station, which is no modifications.

It recommended I not continue, so I didn't. Has anybody seen these issues?

Thanks,

Ray Pesek, CISSP
