Did you reboot the IP530 after changing it's external interface?

If you just need more hard drive space on the management server, you could
use a tool called DriveImage to copy the data onto a newer, larger drive.
If you have a new machine to build with, I would recommend upgrading if you
can. Check Point has some upgrade tools to do that. If not, I believe at a
minimum you will need the conf and database directories.

Subject: New Management Server & Address Problem

I've got two quick questions. My environment uses a single IP530
enforcement module with a W2K management server. First question has to do
with my change in ISPs. when I changed the IP of my outgoing address on the
IP530 and used "Get Address" in object properties it didn't pull the new
address. Still, if I click "Get Address" it pulls the original old ISP
address. Where does this pull from? The name is correct in my DNS and
/var/etc/hosts file.

My second question has to do with building a new management server. I'm
running out of HDD space on this server and this is a necessity. What all
files are required to bring all the policies and objects over? I've read CP
books, but wanted to see if they lived up to real world experience. Also,
will there be anything else I need to do as far as the enforcement module
rejecting the new server with a different name? I would assume
re-initializing SIC would fix any of this.

Thanks in advance for any responses.
