I have 20 user's using Secure Client via the Web to our Network. Some connect over Slow Dialup or wan Links and other from Leased Connections.
Secure Client sends keep alives to the Fw Cluster to keep the connection Alive and The Firewall Sends the SCV_keepalive to the Client?? Is this correct. I was informed that we need allow a rule to allow the secure client users to ping the Fw but is that not the purpose of the scv_keepalive?? Also what is the Security impact if I have the follow setting s? User Authentication validation timeout every 60 minutes - Should I drop this value to 30 minutes, however our clients connect over slow links And Enable back connections send keep alive to gateway 20 seconds - Is enabling back connections a security risk and all the this keep alives will it not slow this down for the user ? They are already complaining . we have a 236k link and I have had the fw audited no problems there !
