As well, I'd like to just show 3 senario's for even better understanding in
the SIP / SIP_Any :
1. Sip with dual proxies
IP(soft)Phone -> SIP Proxy -> FW-1 -> (internet) -> FW-1 -> SIP
Proxy -> IP(soft)Phone
2. Sip with one proxy
IP(soft)Phone -> SIP Proxy -> FW-1 -> (internet) -> FW-1 ->
IP(soft)Phone
3. Sip without any proxies
IP(soft)Phone -> FW-1 -> (internet) -> FW-1 -> IP(soft)Phone
Hope this helps.

Hey,
Thought I'd elaborate on the SIP and SIP_ANY differences
Explanation of sip and sip_any :
Service
How It Works
sip
If the Source or Destination column is Any, then the firewall is not able
to redirect the connection unless the gateway is configured as a SIP proxy.
sip_any
If the Source or Destination column is Any, the firewall is able to
redirect the connection even if it isn't a SIP proxy, but only if the SIP
Domain is external to the network protected by the firewall
Let me know if ya have other questions.
That was a good one ;-)

Hello everyone
Can anyone explain the difference between sip and sip_any to me please?
Checkpoints' definition has me baffled....
Thanks
