Rodrigo,

   Run the cpconfig tool on your Management Server and be sure the
 client you are connecting from is listed under the authorized gui
 clients.

   Start -> Programs -> CheckPoint -> CheckPoint Configuration -> GUI Clients

   Also be sure you don't have a Security Policy preventing the GUI
 client connections. What I suggest is : be sure you Firewall is isolated
 from the Internet, the from a dos box perform a fwm unloadlocal ... Then
 try to connect again.

Met vriendelijke groeten - Bien vous - Kind regards

Subject: [FW-1] Smart Client

Hi ALL
I'm a newbie with Checkpoint VPN-1/FW-1 NG FP3 and I have the following
problem:
I have installed Smart Center Server and Enforcement Module in one machine
with operating system
Windows 2000 Server and I have installed Smart Clients in one workstation
with operating system win
dows 2000 professional.
When I try to connect to Smart Center Server to manage my rules via the
SmartDashboard I receive the
following message error:
Can't connect to smart Center Server
Vevify if the server 192.168.1.1 is up and running.

My Network Settings are:
Smart Center Server --> 192.168.1.1/24
Workstation with SmartDashboard --> 192.168.1.2/24

The network connectivity is ok.
Is there any settings to allow SmartDashboard in other machine to
communicate with SmartCenterServer.

With SmartDashboard on the server I connect with no problems but with
SmartDashboard in other machine (Workstations)
I Can't.

Please help me.
Thanks
Rodrigo
