I've had no problems with Win2K, using NG AI R54 for the FW & SR, using IP Pools, and Connect mode. With SR, the Secure Domain Logon seems to work just fine, for a Win2K PC that had previously been on the local subnet & joined the domain, then went remote (like a laptop would)and I just have the WINS enabled & server set to the PDC IP address, nothing else special for Checkpoint files ... and, from my home Win2K PC for example, I can access Win2K NAS and NT 4.0 shares on our LAN by using Win Explorer to directly access the server via \\<servername>.domain.xxx ... the supply login credentials window pops up & I put in: USERNAME <ourdomain>\user and the password... have to supply credentials for each server, but it works. Note, our server names are in the public DNS, so you'll have to make sure the server's host name can be resolved or use the IP address (\\XX.XX.XX.XX). For home PC like this, I don't have to enable WINS or LMHOSTS or anything. I haven't gotten XP Pro entirely figured out, but it seems to work OK with the "real" MS servers, just has problems with Sun PC Netlink 2.0 on Solaris.

I have setup secureclient on an laptop and can successfully ping all internal servers including the PBD and DBC but I cannot log onto the NT domain via a windows 2000 pro laptop.
In troubleshooting I have done the following
1. added the wins server into the dial up properties 2. created a dnsinfo.C file 3. Added the wins and DNS server to encryption domain 4. added the dns server to the dial up properties 5. Enabled Client for MS networks on the dialup adapter 6. ADDED the internal network of the wins server to the encryption domain.
If i issue a net view /domain:<domainname> or try pinging computer names it fails
Anyone got any ideas or know any good docs for joining a windows 200 pro to NT domain via secureRemote
