For the last month or so, we have been having Outlook XP connectivity
problems over SecureClient. They are manifested by the appearance of
Microsoft's Cancelable RPC Dialog box that says "Requesting data from
(Exchange server)". This problem definitely started in the last month or so.
Maybe it's related to a hotfix or HTTP security fix? Running NG AI R55 HFA1

To duplicate it, we start Outlook XP in the "Connect" (work online) mode,
open a new email message and click the "To:" button to pull up the list of
Exchange recipients. We get the RPC Dialog five seconds later right on
schedule and SmartviewTracker shows this:

Number: 543359
Date: 15Mar2004
Time: 17:04:03
Product: VPN-1 & FireWall-1
Interface: eth-s1p1c0
Origin: (FW-1 box)
Type: Alert
Action: Reject
Protocol: tcp
Service: 1092
Source: (Office Mode IP address)
Destination: (Exchange server)
Rule: 998
Source Port: 1991
Information: DCE-RPC Interface UID: f5cc5a18-4264-101a-8c59-08002b2f8426

That DCE-RPC UID corresponds to the MsExchangeDSNSPI service. I now have to
cancel the dialog box, close the blank Outlook Select Names box and click
the "To:" button again to get a fully populated Select Names dialog box.

This is messing up OST synchronization as well. We do have a rule that
specifies all of the DCE-RPC services individually.

I can make this happen 100% of the time by firing up SecureClient on the LAN
on my desktop and performing the steps above. It's definitely a
FW-1/SecureClient issue and not an Exchange issue.

I'm at my wits end. If anyone can lend a suggestion, I'd sure appreaciate
it.

Ray
