Advantage: You get load balancing. Good load-balancing. With no extra cost (no additional Checkpoint license needed, no extra hardware needed) Disadvantage: If you don'T need load-balancing, don't use the cluster, because it needs it's own network just to transport the cluster and state-sync stuff (so each Nokia box participating in the cluster will need an extra network interface). Well, actually this is not a real disadvantage unless you are on a budget. Nokia Cluster builds upon VRRP btw. So if you go Cluster, you have VRRP too.
