Hi Adriano, The main difference is VRRP gives you only high availability, but cluster gives load balancing as well.
Before doing it u may have make sure you have the relevant IPSO version and checkpoint version for this. There few changes need to be done for it. Definitely u will require a downtime. A goof document can be found on cluster in http://www.digitalmigrations.com/ha.htm it does not give complete instruction but it will give an idea how to do it. I do have one but it is customized for the customer. If you have any specific Qs I might be able to answer.
