Hello,
I am wondering if someone can help me find where this got turned on. I have
several machines that are inside the FW, and several outside that FTP to
servers inside. When making a connection either from the inside out, or the
outside in, I always get the header line below.

220 Check Point FireWall-1 Secure FTP server running on xxxx.xxxxx.xxx.

xxxx.xxxxx.xxx being my domain. It appears to be intercepting the traffic
before it allows it throug the port, which I don't mind, but I don't want
the header there. Anyone know how to turn this off?
Thanks!

Hi, you can turn this off by setting a parameter in the file $FWDIR/conf/objects_5_0.C. On the other hand, you can modify this message in the file $FWDIR/conf/cpca/cpsc.en_us

If you use NG AI R55 you can turn this message off in SmartConsole. Go
to Policy - Global Properties - SmartDashboard Customizaton - Configure
and select in the new window called "Advanced configuration" the topic
FireWall-1 - Security Servers. Here, you select the check box for
undo_msg. Then, save and install your policy.

If you use another version: From the directory where you have installed
SmartConsole open the program GUIdbedit and connect to your SmartCenter
Server. Be sure to have your SmartDashboard closed.
Once opened this GUI, also called Check Point Database Tool, select in
the left top window
Table - Global Properties - properties
Then, in the right window firewall_properties is shown. With a
double-click on it a list of variables opens in the bottom window. Here,
search for the parameter
  undo_msg
and set it to TRUE.
When leaving GUIdbedit, you will be asked, if the changes shall be
saved. Select ok and open SmartDashboard to install your rulebase again.
Then, the message should be turned off.

Hope it helps,
best regards,
Matthias
