Hi Greg,

I have had similar issues in the past, although I now use mostly SecurePlatform, the
last build of nokia I had to do this on was an I650 running NG FP3, and from the
command line, it didnt really work too well.

What happens if you try the GUI dbedit and point it at your Nokia ?

Thanks

Ant

Hello All,

I am trying to use dbedit on my management server: Nokia IP650, IPSO 3.7
build 35, NG-AI R54. From a command line, logged in as admin this is what
happens:

server1[admin]# dbedit
Enter Server Name (ENTER for 'localhost'): Enter

Enter Administrator Name: admin
Enter Administrator Password: password
General access denied error
Authentication to Server server1 failed
server1[admin]#

I also get an ACEAGENT message in my logs saying "The message entry does not
exist for Message ID: 1001" every time I try to use dbedit, could it be that
my management station tries to use securid to authenticate dbedit logins?

Can anyone tell me why am I getting authentication failures? Am I doing
something wrong?

Thanks,

Greg Pendergrass
