Has anyone ever noticed FireWall-1 rotate logs on the management station (NG AI, Solaris 8) as the log file size reaches 2GB?
I ask this because it seems the management station at a site I work at "magically" rotated logs by itself, and the resultant switched log is only marginally (a few hundred kbytes) less than 2GB. There's no mention of this behavior in CheckPoint documentation, nor the Secure Knowledge database. I'm just wanting to make sure it was in fact FireWall-1 doing this.
