I utilize Star topology on all of them. The vendors of course don't need to talk with each of the other vendors. I have my gateway as one side and the other VPN interoperable gateway set on the other end. Works well. I have a question about Star or Meshed topology for the VPN. How do you decide which one to use when you do site to site VPN with your business partners while you don't allow or need business partners talking each other? I have talked to several CheckPoint supports and only the last one that I talked to told me that for one way traffic (vendor access our company only, we don't need to access them) I should use Star topology. Does it matter either Star or Meshed? From the VPN manual, it seems to me that Star topology is for centralized VPN connection that the central gateway(s) has big, faster pipe connects to Internet. Thanks.
