I have a problem to do back-up of a machine isolated by other machine with Firewall-1
My system has a configuration with 5 HP servers, all of them with W2KServer in Spanish
language: S1, S2, S3, S4 and S5
S1, S3, S4 and S5 are communicated directly in a LAN
S5 has 2 Ethernet cards and Firewall-1software.
S2 is communicated with S5 in another LAN
We have a back-up library controlled by ArcServe software in S1
This software correctly does the back-ups of S1, S3 and S4
Back-ups of S2 and S5 fail because it occours blocks.
No alert produces in Log Viewer of Firewall-1
Into IP packets between S1 and S2 or S1 and S5 we have detected messages like "Fast
retransmision",
"Too many retransmision" and some "Window Frozen" .
The ports that fail appear to be TCP 4168-1748 and TCP 4475-445
We have installed a DAT unit in S2 to do the temporary back-up and it works correctly
but we would like a solution to use the back-up library like in S1, S3 and S4 servers.
Could Firewall-1 software or the pass through other LAN provoque these blocks?
Could these blocks be avoid with any configuration of the software?
