why don't you use the same name for your new mgmt-server? this makes life mich easier...

The prod mgmt server has a different name than the spare mgmt server. The spare mgmt server is going to become the prod mgmt server so I need to change the info to retain the spare mgmt server name as the new name.
I ran the import on the spare server and imported the config file over. No issues found. When I went into CPConfig -Certificate Authority tab. The only info I had was the name and initialization status. According to Checkpoint, there are supposed to be 2 buttons there to send FDQN to CA and re-initialize. There is on my prod mgmt station but they do not exist on my spare mgmt server. Checkpoint support was stumped.
While wating for them to call back, I removed the Checkpoint software from the spare mgmt server and tried to install the software from scratch without importing the config file. Just the software needed to create a primary mgmt server. When I went into the Certificate Authority tab in CPConfig. The same info was there which leads when to believe that it will generate it's own CA when I click OK (which it does - tried that during the export/import process)
But I still can't access my fire objects from the spare mgmt server.
Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. This problem is driving me crazy. THe upgrade instructions looked so simple.
