What type of firewall is it? If it's a Nokia (not sure what the others
have) , does it have the backup/restore function via Voyager?

If so, just do a full backup on the current firewall, move the backup file
to the redundant firewall, and then use the restore function to restore the
backup on the redundant firewall.

Then run cpconfig to ensure that all parameter are the same.

That's what l did to clone my IP440 when l did my upgrade from 4.1 SP6 to
NG FP3.

Otherwise l think you need to move your conf, state and database
directories, and then run cpconfig.

That should cover it, but without knowing your full setup, something else
could be required

Alan.

When backing up and restoring 4.1SP2 to another 4.1 SP2 box, what I do I
need to back up and restore? DO I only need the "conf" directory or do I
need the "conf" and "database" directory? I am trying to get this box
running so that I can take it to sp6 and the NG..Any help is highly
appreciated.

Thank you,
