Hi there...

Does anyone had configure the check point using the action "SNMP Trap" ?
I have a problem running this. On the CHeck Point's global properties, I've
already
configured the address of SNMP server and also the rule is already applied.
And on the server (windows 2000 advance server) the service is already
enabled,
but the SNMP server still doesn;t receive the trap.

Is there anything need to be configured ?

Thanks a lot.

Victor.

Hi Victor,
I've done it quite often and it works well - usually.
So you have configured the Global Properties and you have a rule with
SNMP Alert.
The alert is sent from the SmartCenter, so do you have a rule accepting
162/udp (snmp-trap, not 161/udp) from your CP Management to your SNMP
server? Any entries in your logs?
Hope it helps,
best regards,
Matthias
