NG AI (R55) under 2003 is working fine for me. I have it running on a temporary server while I am in the process of rebuilding my main production server and everything seems to be running smoothly.
On the production server (a Compaq ML350) I have noticed that there was a slowdown when rebooting after installing the Bastion Host security template from Microsoft but that's not a Checkpoint issue and I'm not seeing it on the other server so I believe it is related to the Compaq server. It is also mostly an annoyance since it does eventually shutdown and reboot cleanly. It just adds about a minute to my down time. I also had some issues with getting Windows updates to install properly either manually or via the web. These seem to have been corrected by installing the Windows updates before installing the security template. I have installed one patch since installing the security template but I'll be convinced after I successfully install a couple more patches. I believe this is probably a mater of one of the patches wanting to patch and then start a process that is disabled but I was not able to completely prove this to myself so if someone knows better please let me know. Beyond these two small issues both not related to a default install of Win 2003 or Checkpoint Win 2003 has been trouble free for a couple of weeks now. -----Original Message----- From: Mailing list for discussion of Firewall-1 [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of RoNNY Nussbaum Sent: Tuesday, May 25, 2004 7:03 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [FW-1] Windows 2003 Standard server supported OS ? I installed it too and it worked perfectly. It's a mystery why it takes Checkpoint 5 gazillion years to update their site for the supported platforms. Last time I checked, WS2003 wasn't there. -RoNNY __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
