Hi Is there anyone using Alteon load balance switches behind a FW-NG with StoneBeat ? My client uses FW-NG+StoneBeat with MAC multicasts and Cisco Switches. For a new DMZ he is creating he wants to connect a pair of alteon to balance the traffic to two web servers. He wants to connect the Alteons directly to the Firewall ports without a Cisco switches in between. My concern is if the Alteons can act as a standard L2 switch regarding to the multicast traffic to the StoneBeat cluster address. Yes both Alteons will have a conection between them and each web server is connected to both Alteons. My concern is on the return traffic from the Alteons to the multicast FW cluster address. Any ideas ?
