I have a Solaris 8 box with NG AI R55 on it. The machine has two processors. It is running a regular enforcement point license. It does not have SecureXL, so obviously I get an error about no license for multiple processors. Also does not have/need VPN.
I have two questions... With the operating system running in 64 bit mode, Solaris will make use of the second processor correct? Even though the application won't? The firewall has a fairly low load, so I'm not seriously considering it, but if I wanted to purchase SecureXL to make use of the second processor, where would I see the benefit? This isn't a VPN firewall, so would general NG AI performance improve?
