It adds some neat application defense features. For instance, let's say you
want to block IM traffic. In R55 you can block known ports but if you allow
other ports outbound the IM client can dyamically adjust itself to use any
open port. R55W automagically inspects all ports. If you say to block IM or
P2P, it will check all ports for that type of traffic.

There's also some paid-for additional HTTP protections.

We haven't gone to it because it disables Floodgate. Supposedly the next
major release of the product will incorporate the "W" (with apologies to
Democrats) features without disabling Floodgate.
