All, We run a firewall 1 NG AI (R54) firewall as the end point for our roaming users VPN. Generally the end users use Secureclient (R56)in Office Mode on XP (mix of SP1 & 2) & connect to various internal services running on both windows & UNIX (the UNIX shares are done via SAMBA) Where the conenction is done via an ADSL router & the laptops ethernet port we have no problems. If a standard Dialup connection to a local ISP is used there are no problems. If however the user uses a USB ADSL modem then we are unable to connect to the SAMBA shares, Windows Shares are fine.
There are no drops in the firewall logs, Other traffic (http etc) comes through to the same systems fine & if the USB modem is replaced with a Ethernet based one then it all works. Any one got any suggestions?
