Has anyone successfully installed the HP health/management drivers on
SecurePlatform? If so, what is the process for doing so?

We need to be alerted when there are hardware problems with the server
(ie. disk, fan, temperature), and the only means for monitoring this stuff
is via the HP provided management agents. At the very minimum, the hpasm
driver/package needs to be installed, but attempting to install it on a
standard SPLAT box fails when it trys to rebuild the modules for the
checkpoint specific kernel. According to the HP doco on installing the
hpasm driver you need the kernel source, compiler and other miscellaous
build tools. I've managed to get the src for the SPLAT linux kernel and
setup a temporary SPLAT box to do to a redistributable build of the driver
(which I hope to place on production SPLAT boxes without also installing a
compiler etc), but alias ... its still far from plug and play.

I'm going to continue trying to nut it out, but would appreciate any
pointers if anyone else has (successfully or otherwise) done the same.
