Mark,
See my reply to the person who asked about the FP3 upgrade. Same procedure.
If you need me to resend my response, let me know. As far as your SIC, you
should not need to touch that, unless you are moving machines, hostnames,
or IP addresses.
If you run in to any issues the *management* upgrade guide (not the big fat
regular upgrade guide) has a ton of good info.
Cheers.

| Subject: [FW-1] Upgrade to R55
|
>----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
I have a management station (no gateway installed) running Solaris 8 and
Checkpoint NG-AI R54. I would like to upgrade to R55.
What is the correct procedure to perform such an upgrade. I would like
to take every precaution (backup necessary files, etc) to ensure in the
event I need to go back to R54, that I can cleanly.
Also - Will I need to reset SIC on all my gateways managed by this
gateway after the upgrade?
Thanks very much and let me know if I need to provide any further info.
-Mark
