Hi Nick,
I'm sorry, but I don't know about any other way. What I did in earlier
Versions of SecureClient was that I created Remote Access Profiles in
the SmartCenter Dashboard, create Site and then deleted the standard
(default Profile) and let only the read-only profiles remaining. Not
sure if that will keep the users from deleting the site an recreating
it, but it should keep your users away from modifying connection
profiles (not sites). If it would be important for me I would upgrade
them to R56 HFA02 Build 615 or newer, where you have more options to
control things.
Hope it helps
Regards
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
This looks promissing. The attribute you specified is defantely in
their but when I change it to "true" it dosen't appear to change
anything and the profile can still be deleted.
Is their something else I should be doing?
Many Thanks,
Nick

Read-only Connection Profiles work in SecureClient R54 and all
variants of
R55 because we started with R54 and it had them. Build 2 of
SecureClient R56
made a change so end users could not create their own sites and
profiles.
I didn't do anything special to make them read-only. I simply created
them
on SmartCenter and as part of a SecureClient Packaging Tool
depolyment and
they are greyed out when you try to do aything with them from within
SecureClient.

Hi Stefan,
As far as I know, they are running R55 (not sure what build)
I'm assuming the above solution is not availible for this version.
Is their any other way possible to stop the profile's from being
deleted?
Many Thanks,
Nick

Hi Ray, Nick,
It depends on which SecuRemote Client you use. If you have already
SecuRemote R56 Build 615 you can use some new features which work
perfectly for what you need it.
With that new version Check if you have the following options at the
beginning of your userc.C file:
:predefined_sites_only (true)
:predefined_profiles_only (true)

Don't know about SecuRemote, but with SecureClient you can set up a
Remote
Access Connection Profile on the management station and it will be
read-only
on the client.

Hi,
Is it possible to either make the users.c file read-only
somehow...
or
set some kind of permissions so the users CANNOT delete the
Checkpoint
Secure Remote Profile?
We are expierincing a high-level of call volume due to users
deleting
the profile's.
Many Thanks,
Nick
