Hi,

FTP Server: 86.131.151.139
Username: CP
Password: PASSWORD

There is a R55 Upgrade guide there called Upgrade.

1. Run Upgrade-Export
2. Run Pre-Upgrade Verifier on the new server
3. Install SMARTCenter
4. Run Upgrade-Import

You should have no problems.

Subject: [FW-1] Procedure for Upgrade / Rebuild for NG R55 - Doc available?
layman's terms

Hello,

I am hoping someone can give me some clarification on a backup procedure. For
instance, if I have a Windows 2000 Server but I want to move to Windows 2003. I
take the 2000 server offline and build a new 2003 SmartCenter Server. Before I
do this, what is the correct backup and restore procedure?

1) Should I only back up these four folders
a) $CPDIR/conf and $CPDIR/database
b) $FWDIR/conf and $FWDIR/database
Note: Do I actually need the $FWDIR/database folder.
OR
2) Just use the import/export utiliity.

If I do option 1 then I can just issue a CPSTOP on the newly built server and
then copy over the folders if that still works. Which option is the correct
one? Pros/ Cons? Is there a layman's doc available for this?

Any info is highly appreciated. Thank you.
