It's a license issue and maybe a reinstall, selecting SecureClient instead of SecuRemote if you hadn't already done that. http://pricelist.checkpoint.com is a good link to know. It depends on the volume needed and I paid less than these prices from our reseller.

Although it seems like a lot of money, $100 US per user in lots of 25 to $60 US per user in lots of 500 for Integrity SecureClient and a bit less for the non-Integrity version, it's really not if you consider all of the related costs.

If you do not already have a remotely configurable laptop firewall, you gain that. If you have a third-party product, you lose those maintenance and support costs. The second year SecureClient maintenance costs are less than $18 per user for our volume. My boss wholeheartedly agrees that it's worth paying $1.50 per user per month to keep their data safer when they're on the Internet.

Since Check Point bought ZoneLabs and came out with the combined SecureClient/Integrity product, the price has dropped dramatically. Two years ago we were trying to decide between Cisco and Check Point for a new firewall and remote access solution. At the time, and maybe still, Cisco did not have a product that matched SecureClient's remotely configurable firewall so we priced out ZoneLab's Integrity to handle that function. 300 users for Integrity alone was quoted to me by ZoneLabs at $61 per client! We decided not to go that route. :-)

Ray

Maybe they messed up, & decided it was a good thing to force SR users to
pay for SC, so they decided it's a "design feature".

Do you have to pay for the software, or is it just a license issue? What license would I need?
