No body seen an issue like this before ??

Hi

HA Splat cluster running AI R55 - Tagged VLANS seperate the networks and each module has a 'real' IP on each of those networks. One network is used for network management stuff and on this network is a backup server.

From the primary module (we are running primary/backup) i can ssh to the backup box fine, and scp as this is how the backups happen. From the management station i can ssh to the backup box fine. From the secondary module (ie the one that is in 'standby' mode) i can't ssh to this backup box. These machines are on directly connected networks and there are no firewalls blocking this connection.

On looking i can see that when i ssh from the primary module i appear to come from the 'floating' IP of this HA cluster rather than its real IP. We are all on the same network here so so gateways are involved. I can see that when i ssh from the secondary module it appears i am coming from the floating IP also rather than this modules real IP even though this IP is not assigned to this module as its in standby mode.

Anyone ever seen this before and/or know a workaround/fix before i open a support ticket?

thanks
