I have seen problems connecting like this when the network address on the Linksys matches the internal IP address on the site you are connecting to. (ex. The Linksys internal IP is 192.168.1.1 and the network you are connecting to is also using 192.168.1.x internally). In cases like this you just need to change the IP address on the Linksys to something not being used on the internal network of the site you are connecting to.
