not sure what OPSEC has to do with anything... perhaps
you mean open source?

never the less, http://www.hylafax.org/ is a package
i used 10 years ago. it was simple to setup then so
i can't imagine how simple it is to run now. the
problem you're going to run into is getting a binary
to run without os specific libraries.

IPSO is actually freebsd base so you'd probably have
better luck finding static binaries for it and trying
it on ipso. if i'm not mistaken, ipso 3.x =~ freebsd
4.x. so ipso 3.9 /should/ be /close/ to freebsd 4.9.

qpage is a fbsd package where you can find precompiled
binaries (if you're willing to trust them on a firewall)
and there is the perl module Net::SNPP if you know
perl and want to write it yourself.

you may have better luck using a SNMP => SNPP gateway
to get the message to your pager. i'm sure your pager
provider has one. hat'll avoid having to do any of the
aforementioned uglyness.

good luck!
