Thanks for the reply. I only have 6 enforcement modules on this mgmt
server so I should be OK then.
Thanks again for your help. -ms

Subject: Re: [FW-1] NGX SmartCenter - Minimum hw requirement

I run Provider-1 NGx on an Ultra-5 SPARC desktop (333Mhz with 1GB of
RAM) and it is running fine with
3 CMA on there. It depends on the number of Enforcement Modules that
SmartCenter will manage.

A few words of advice for you, if you do not mind.
DO NOT RUN CHECKPOINT ON ANY GENERAL PURPOSES OS (EVEN SOLARIS). ALWAYS
USE SECUREPLATFORM. We have a TAC case open with CP for the past seven
months with NO resolution. CP TAC blames the problem on Sun OS solaris
9. Those CP TAC bastards are very good at blaming problems on someone
else. If you run SmartCenter on SPLAT, CP TAC will have no choice but
to help you fix it. They can not blame problems on anyone else because
CP is reponsible for the whole thing, OS and CP software.

You can migrate your SmartCenter from Solaris to SPLAT quite easily,
with upgrade_export tool.
