Yes, I'm sure. The routing must be OK since DNS lookups go to the same server 
(the samba server is also running the internal DNS).

However, I begins to wonder if the network card in the firewall do support 
VLANs. After I posted the message yesterday; I noticed another problem. The 
window machine on the VLAN network is used to administrate the firewall. I 
could read the log and get the rules, but when trying to install a new 
ruleset, I got a message that the connection to the firewall was closed.

I then removed the VLAN and went back to the original configuration on the 
interface. Now everything works OK.

So how can I find out if the network cards in the firewall do support VLAN?
