Folks,
I need some assistance or ideas regarding the installation of SPLAT on a
PowerEdge 850 server with SATA drives. I am trying to install NG AI R55
HFA 12. When we try to install SPLAT we get the error message that it does
not recognize the SATA drives. Checkpoint gave me a driver for the SATA
drives but Checkpoint is looking to mount a floppy drive floppy to install
extra drivers. These newer Dell servers do NOT ship with floppy drives. We
tried to use a USB floppy drive but SPLAT did not recognize the USB floppy
drive. Hence, I cannot load the SATA drives given to me by checkpoint.
Does any one have any ideas on how I can load my SATA driver without a
floppy drive ?
How about using ftp or scp to get the files off some server? I sometimes
use a laptop placed on the same network as the firewall to download files
to my SPLATs or Nokias, which have no floppy or CD drive and no USB
port. If you see my previous post, I spelled out instructions on how to
mount a USB drive in SPLAT.
HTH....
